The Sales Associate will be focused on providing a compassionate experience for patients and caregivers finding relief from serious illnesses through medical cannabis as well as assisting pharmacists in daily operational/clerical tasks and to ensure compliance on all state regulations and MedMen NY, Inc policies.

Essential Functions

  • Greet and establish rapport with customers-- get to know them and seek to understand their interest in cannabis medicine.
  • Under the supervision of Pharmacist, discuss and educate customers and caregivers on the use and side effects of cannabis products
  • Assist patients in identifying the medicines and methods of medication that best fit their individual needs
  • Adhere to strict distribution processes and maintain a professional and safe environment for customers and coworkers
  • Gather and process required patient documents and information, and perform detailed verification while maintaining client confidentiality
  • Continue to enhance knowledge of medical cannabis, and hone ability to explain and recommend product uses per Pharmacist recommendations
  • Maintain cleanliness of facility
  • Perform tasks on opening/closing checklist
  • Assist with customer service phone-calls
  • Assist Pharmacist as needed
  • Record keeping and filing
  • Process payments


    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is a part-time position. Occasional Overtime may be required as job duties demand

    Required Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or GED diploma
    • Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
     
     Preferred Education and Experience
    • Customer Service and Retail Sales experience
    • Associate degree in health care field preferred but not required
    • Pharmacy Technician Experience is a plus
    • Patient Care Experience
    • Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking
    • Must be able to provide exemplary customer service, and represent the business with pride


    Work Authorization/Security Clearance
    There is no visa or H1-B sponsorship. Must successful complete and pass background and drug screen, and live scan
