We are looking for a talented Project Manager, Commercialization with PMP that is experienced in product development, possibly food & beverage, concept development, product portfolio, new technologies, runs projects that work with process engineers and R&D scientist.

Summary/Objective
 
As the Project Manager, this person will lead complex projects of high corporate strategic importance including new product development, the development production lines, equipment installation, and equipment procurement for a large manufacturing facility. The Project Manager will provide subject matter expertise in all areas including detailed project management, lead critical-to- business PM projects, serve as a vital coach in helping the organization successfully execute projects. The Project Manager will apply PMP best practices to each project, ensuring that all projects meet scope, deadlines and budget. The incumbent will maintain control of schedule, cost, safety, and quality at all times and will present to executives on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. He/she will also manage vendor relationships and contracts throughout the installation and ultimately ensure project is closed on time and in scope.

  • Manages multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment to ensure project results
    meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, schedule, cost, and technical
    requirements.
  • Oversee and manage the development from benchtop to production scale for both
  • new products, product improvements, and technology upgrades. Support, coordinate and conduct bench, pilot and production scale trials at internal and external development and manufacturing sites.
  • Lead technical activities to assist advancement of multiple projects concurrently through the Stage Gate product development process
  • Lead project teams through all phases of new product development and new technology roll-outs; prepare ongoing plant leadership team with appropriate training to deliver at stated
    production levels.
  • Troubleshoot and support post-commissioning as needed to ensure complete and capable operation.
  • Establishes project strategy, executes the plan and measures results.
  • Responsible for making decisions regarding the appropriate risk when there is
    substantial program impact.
  • Supports and reinforces all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
  • Manages and monitors project execution to understand, communicate and address
    changing project needs.
  • Responsible for the completion of assigned projects at or ahead of the target dates
    defined in the project plans.
  • Manages, creates and continuously improves upon standard work and processes for
    exceptional project management techniques.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to executive leadership around project status,
    constraints, and critical issues and helps facilitate the adoption of best practices.
  • Quickly and proactively identifies and mitigates risks, resolves issues and leverages
    opportunities within each assigned project.
  • Responsible for monitoring all financial aspects of the project (estimated cost, planning,
    and staying within budget).
 
 
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel
This position requires up to 25% travel.
 
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in project management or product management.
  • Experience in new product development in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry or nutraceutical industry preferred.
  • PMI or PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional)
    certification preferred

  • Ability to clearly communicate and influence at senior leadership levels, as well as with project teams
  • MS project experience or similar project management software experience
