Summary/Objective
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring the entire logistics chain to ensure optimal inventory levels.

  • Perform inventory analysis and management to avoid low stock and overstock.
  • Plan and complete the assigned tasks within the deadlines.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and transfers.
  • Analyze root causes of inventory issues and provide resolutions.
  • Communicate complex inventory problems to Manager promptly.
  • Develop process improvements to achieve company inventory goals.
  • Develop initiatives to reduce slow-moving inventories and to improve inventory turns.
  • Generate and maintain monthly reports on inventory levels.
  • Review inventory activities and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in inventory risk assessment and mitigation activities.
  • Coordinate and manage physical inventories for all store locations towards the completion of three annual physical inventories.
  • Research/Analyze significant count discrepancies and process Inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Make appropriate adjustments to Inventory which impacts balance sheets
  • Compile reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close.
  • Partner with store managers, and retail operations teams, as necessary to ensure inventory controls are in place for the proper handling of inventory to prevent shrink and damages.
  • Evaluate and formulate recommendations for enhancing controls around shrink
  • Support ad hoc project requests from the Manager
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business.
  • Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Experience in using an ERP system, spreadsheet, database or other software.
  • Effective team skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and controls.
  • Ability to create and implement effective processes & procedures.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills .
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.
  • Must possess a strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to develop and bring to complete multiple assignments concurrently.
