Summary/Objective

This position is primarily responsible for building and managing the company’s in-house real estate department, including oversight of nationwide real estate transactions and ensuring timely completion, entitlement, and execution in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.


Essential Functions

  • Build and manage company in-house real estate department 
  • Manage commercial real estate transactions (leasing and acquisitions) nationwide in conjunction with Chief Strategy Officer and SVP of Legal Affairs. 
  • Lead entitlement process to ensure all real estate projects are properly and timely entitled and compliant with applicable laws and regulations governing the intended use. 
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with governmental agencies and third parties applicable to land acquisition and development. 
  • Supervise consultants, contractors, property managers, and outside legal counsel in regards to acquisition and development. 
  • Build community support for real estate projects and work with internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Actively work directly with cross-functional department heads on all real estate projects  


Requirements
  • 4-Year College Degree 
  • 10+ years commercial real estate experience, focus on acquisitions, leasing, entitlements, and development 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to excel and multitask in extremely fast paced environment  


Supervisory Responsibility 
  • Supervisory Position- will manage the in-house real estate department
