Digital Training Content Specialist

Summary/Objective 


The Digital Training Content Specialist is a vital role in the Training Department. This position will primarily be responsible for filming and editing our digital training content to be administered through the LMS. By partnering with the Retail Training Manager and the Cultivation/Manufacturing Training Manager, the Digital Training Content Specialist will work to digitize many of the work processes in these departments so that they may be administered through e-learning programs. The Digital Training Content Specialist will also be responsible for creating digital content for the corporate offices to help new employees become familiar with new programs, procedures, or personnel.
 

Essential Functions

  1. Manage all film production for training videos of the company.
  2. Manage editing of training videos for the company.
  3. Determine specific audio and visual effects necessary to complete training videos.
  4. Review footage sequence by sequence to become familiar with it before assembling it into a final product.
  5. Work cross-departmentally with Marketing and Creative to ensure all training videos are consistent with MedMen aesthetic and brand.
  6. Manage and control all filming equipment required for training videos.
  7. Ability to use video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, iMovie)
  8. Manage budget for all filming needs in training department.
  9. Ability to manage time in order to meet deadlines and prioritize
  10. Ability to use authoring software for training content (Articulate, Camtasia, Domiknow, Elucidat, GoAnimate)

Supervisory Responsibility
This position currently does not have supervisory responsibilities.
 

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional, retail, and cultivation environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials as well as film production equipment including cameras, microphones, and lighting. Some filming for Retail or Plant training videos may occur within one of our production or retail facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Job will require looking at screens for extended periods of time.
 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Night and weekend work may be required.
 

Travel
This position requires up to 15% travel.
 

Required Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  2. Five years of experience.
