Compliance Associate – Marketing Review​
Summary:
MedMen is seeking an experienced compliance professional to join the team set out to set the standard for cannabis compliance. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing and approving marketing materials and communications with a regulatory and public company lens.  The associate will also assist with providing regulatory compliance support and guidance to MedMen’s marketing team. The ideal candidate would be interested in becoming a SME, contributing at a high level to the overall success of the team and building a career at MedMen.  
 
 
Essential Functions:

  • Learn, understand and stay up-to-date with state and local marketing related cannabis regulations for applicable jurisdictions 
  • Seek to understand not only the regulations but also the intent of all regulatory requirements 
  • Responsible for the review and pre-approval of all marketing materials 
  • Interact with local and state regulatory bodies when necessary, including submission of marketing materials  
  • Develop a tracking system for all reviewed materials with KPIs in mind 
  • Develop senior management reporting framework  
  • Establish a positive working relationship and clear communication flow with supported departments  
  • Create standard operating procedures to support ongoing compliance 
 
Required Education and Experience:  
  1. Must be at least 21 years of age 
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communication or Marketing 
  1. 3+ years of regulatory marketing material review in, finance, pharma, alcohol or other highly regulated industries 
  1. Good organizational skills and attention to detail 
  1. Ability to draft succinct memos, business correspondences, and procedures 
  1. Proven strong verbal and written communication skills  

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: 
  1. Cannabis regulation and/or product knowledge is a plus 
  1. Marketing material review for compliance with IA Act of 1940 is a plus 
  1. Marketing material review for a public company is a plus
